For many years now we achieved success at helping people with transportation needs on the river. No shuttle service is perfect, there are many many moving parts that some folks have no idea about, but after many years of mistakes and learning obstacles, you can trust that we have worked out some of the kinks that seem to befall other services.

I enjoy rafting and the outdoors and am also an EMT with the Riggins Ambulance.

I do however enjoy the early Fall floats, so October is by far my favorite month. I love Idaho, but I’m not from here and although White Bird’s, population is about 90 counting cats and dogs, I still think it’s waay too many people for my private Idaho.  Fishing, hunting, rivers and all the things that attract people from other places is why I love this place.

Turn On’s : 10 ply tires and the people that get them! Prepared people who give me lots of notice when they want to float!  I know, sometimes, I’m that person too, who wakes up and say’s – Let’s get our float on Today!  So I get it, but If I do manage to move your rig last minute , please TIP your drivers.  This is a service industry.  The drivers appreciate it, but I really really do and I’ll bend over backwards for you if you’re good to my drivers. 

Turn off’s : People who are unprepared for the back country roads we have and only have donut spare tires or no spare tires at all. People that indicate they will leave a key on their form, but do not leave where they say they will and we have to spend valuable time hunting keys down!!

People that wear political propoganda or fly flags with unkind words and sentiments and stand with a guy that tried to destroy our democracy, cheat at the elections and tried to have our vice president murdered.  Don’t get me wrong – it’s America, vote for who you want, That’s what three generations of my family fought for as vets, but we need more kindness in the world and using profanity and bullying is just something I’m not into no matter who you vote for. 

 

 

  1. White Bird, ID is a town of 90 people.  Outside of ranching and farming, there is little industry here.  This business is a blessing to the 40 quality drivers that have been hand chosen for their skills and morals.  Your business is crucial to us and our livelihood depends on it, and our future.  We want your return business, and that is ever present on our minds.
  2. There has never been a report of theft on my watch.  I’ve seen vehicles with wads of cash, ipods, cameras, all kinds of cool stuff just laying out…We will place them in a safe location and write you a note about it.  We are looking out for you!!
  3.  It would be very much appreciated if you tipped your driver, this is a question I get a lot.  I can however, tell you that even if you do not tip,  your vehicle will be treated with respect and our drivers are very grateful and happy to shuttle regardless.   If you want to figure a rate, the waiter/waitress rate is usually the formula. 15% Drivers are  legal and respectful.  Mostly older retired drivers with strong backgrounds in driving.
  4. We have a few passenger vans for rent, so if you  find yourself without a shuttle solution for many vehicles, this may be a solution.  We will drive the van to the put in or take out and you can drive it back to your rigs. Please call waay in advance for this.
